British Health Food

I know I'm late to the party on this one, but I wasn't paying much attention to it until now. Prince Charles recently made disparaging remarks about McDonald's and the nutritional value of their food. Having eaten dreadful, grease-soaked fish and chips in the center of London, I don't think he's got much to talk about.

I spend three long years stationed at RAF Feltwell. The Brits have no right to criticize ANYONE over the quality of their food.

The last time I got fish and chips, I had enough oil and grease left over to change the oil in my car.

You just gotta love Charlie Boy....
Of course, we Brits understand that Fish 'n Chips aren't necessarily the best example of healthy food, just a 'typical British dish. However, i don't recall the Brits trying to Brand Fish 'n Chips as a major product and franchise it to every far flung corner of the world. I guess we are just 'responsible enough' to know what's not that good for us.

I dunno, bluebottle, we've got fish 'n Chips joints all over the place here.

Having said that, there aren't many diets in the world that are totally devoid of things on which you can overindulge. The Japanese are the only ones that come to mind.
