Fish Don't Do Nothing

Here in San Diego, we have very few decent waterways, one of which is Pine Creek. It's literally just a creek. That's it. That's all you get in the desert known as San Diego.

The Catican Guards love it because there's plenty of room to romp and chase squirrels. We went yesterday so they could scamper and I could test out my new GoPro Hero 9 underwater. The video looks like what I was always trying to achieve with my aquariums back in the day. Clear water, thriving plants and plenty of minnow-like fishies.

Fishies that don't do anything.

Enjoy?

Well, maybe they aren't doing anything now, but I bet they ate a lot of mosquito larvae in the past, and will continue to do so in the future. That's something.

Oh, sure, take the side of the fish. It's always about the fish with you!

In all seriousness, imagine putting together the daily schedule for the fish.

0000 - 0600 - Nothing
0600 - 0630 - Eat mosquito larvae
0630 - 1200 - Flit in place
1200 - 1215 - Eat a few more mosquito larvae
1215 - 1600 - Flit in place
1600 - 1605 - Eat another larvae
1605 - 1159 - Nothing

I remember reading a book about a guy researching baboons. The day's necessities took up about 25% of their time. The rest of the day was spent being jerks to each other out of boredom.

Is that the Pine Creek that runs from Julian to Pine Valley?
