PARIS (AP) — French union activists cut electricity to nearly 100,000 homes or offices. Eiffel Tower staff walked off the job. Even Paris opera workers joined in Tuesday’s nationwide protests across France, singing an aria of anger as workers rallied against the government’s plan to raise the retirement age to 64.The French aren't having babies and they haven't been having babies for a long time. That means there aren't nearly enough workers to support all the retirees under the current system. They have three choices.
- Raise the retirement age.
- Cut retirement benefits.
- Riot in the streets until they experience and Venezuelan financial collapse.
I seriously doubt French or even our own academics can tell you what the problem is. Ours would say it was racism.
Meanwhile, the bills will be paid until they run out of money. After that, the whirlwind will be upon them.
