How To Mute A Gas Pump

I don't know about you, but I can't stand those gas pump TVs. All you want to do is fill your tank and they're sitting there going YAPPITY YAPPITY YAP at you the whole time you're pumping. Argh!

One day, I started playing around with the buttons surrounding the screen as some dingledork on the tube was doing his YAPPITIES. I discovered that one of the buttons is the mute. It's always worked for me, but yours might be different.

You're welcome.

At least for now, Costco does not use their gas pumps to try to sell other stuff, so I don’t have to put up with that. However, I have filed that datum away for potential future use!

Well, that's good to know. But what do the other 7 unlabeled black buttons do?
(hopefully, none of them are the "catch fire and explode" button)

You didn’t know that? I thought I learned from you….

Yes, Costco pumps are blissfully quiet.

My daily .8 mile commute (round trip), doesn't offer me much opportunity to stand at the pump.

Our city also seems to have the lowest gas prices in the state. It's hovering around 3.19 right now. But there are a couple stations trying to start a price war at 3.02. If you go 7 miles away, it's 3.54. The Twin Cities over the weekend I saw 3.79.

In a couple weeks, we are driving out to Idaho, I'm guessing I'll get an eye opener there.
