The Empire Never Sleeps

I saw this yesterday and was going to post about it, but couldn't work up the courage to go at it. With a day to ponder it, I'll share that link and two images with a few thoughts.

This is an article from The New Republic, a venerable and respected publication.

This is the author. He is a Director of Prostasia, an organization that is pushing for the normalization of pedophilia.

Here's a snippet from the essay.

The danger for minors engaged in survival sex isn’t just from a few (or many) corrupt officers.

Message: The children selling their bodies are the victims of the police. The police are given power over these poor kids as a result of enforcing a moral code. Stop enforcing the moral code and everything will be better.

The Lizard Empire never sleeps.

You give a snippet of the article, but how much did you actually read?

But Lutnick told me by email that in her research and those of others, “It is not uncommon to hear that young people experience violence more often from law enforcement officials than from any other group.”

In the worst cases, this violence takes the form of physical and sexual assault. Lutnick reports on one incident in which an underage transgender woman in New Orleans was forced to have oral sex with a police officer in order to avoid arrest, and another in which an underage cisgender worker was forced to fondle a police officer for five minutes.

That's who the article is talking about. Do you think we should support police officers getting oral sex/hand jobs from police officers? If not, what's your real objection to the notion that these kids "need housing, food, and other services.", as opposed to being arrested?
