... but it is. It's a photo of a rocky crag taken against an overcast sky near Pohaku Kula'ila'i, Hawaii on Oahu. That's on the West side of the tip of Oahu right before you get to the North Shore. It's a perspective shot. Those cliffs are about 300' up so the scale of the photo seems smaller than it really is. The whole thing has a fake, Photoshop quality to it. If you click on the image, you'll really see what I mean.

I see what you mean. The main thing is the fact everything is perfectly in focus for the whole pic. You lose all sense of the immensity specifically due to the overwhelming clarity.
Definitely has a very fake feel to it.
That's a great technical analysis. I hadn't seen that, but now that you say it, I get it. It looks like the set of a Japanese monster movie. I half expect to see Mothra winging her way overhead any minute.
