More on the Tea Party Movement and Racism

So I got to thinking more about the accusations that the Tea Party people, such as our good friends B-Daddy and Dean, are racists. I came to this thought: So what if they were?

What if 10-20% of the people you saw at the Tea Party rallies used the n-word 30 or more times a day? What if many of them were haters and maniacs? Then what? Mind you, there have been hundreds of thousands of people at the Tea Party events with cameras and microphones all over the place and far less racial nonsense displayed there than you'd find in any three randomly selected posts over at blackprof.com. There is no evidence of endemic racism at Tea Party events. But what if they were suffused with racists?

Would it then make sense to borrow ~$1.5T a year? Would the Greek situation suddenly make perfect sense to the point where it didn't seem so bad? Would we be able to go to the Japanese and have them give us a 10% discount on the debt we owe them? Would anyone say to themselves, "Gosh darn it, I think now would be a swell time to print another $1T of worthless dollar bills!"?

Isn't all of this vapid, baseless talk about angry extremism, vile racism and hate speech just changing the subject?

Once I discovered that Jefferson Davis was behind the Tea Party movement, it no longer bothered me that Japan, China and the Social Security Administration had become net sellers of Treasuries!
