Thursday's keynote was given by Matt Mullenweg of WordPress. Here are a few (snarky) notes.
WordPress representation was huge here. The majority of the audience were WordPress users.
WordPress has 350 servers and one server admin. 100M unique hits per month, supported by 18 people. That’s probably not a perfectly accurate analogy as they are not content creators. They hire very deliberately, looking for the ultimately productive. This mirrors what I heard at the Branding Conference I went to last year where Starbucks shaped their company through the hiring process.
OK, I quit. This is just two guys yakking at each other about one of them. It's not very interesting. The blogosphere has shown that while some people have great talent and are great to listen to, no one is great to listen to as they talk endlessly about themselves.
