I'm not sure if you've seen the viral video of a pair of NYC cops getting beaten by a mob of illegals, but if you haven't, here it is. The serious stuff starts at 0:19.

Think 6-12 months into the future. NYC already has 170,000 or so illegals and more are on the way every day. The NYPD is also operating at, what, 60% strength? Something like that.
All of the illegals involved in the beating were released without bail. 4 of them have allegedly fled by bus to California. All of them were caught on camera belligerently and defiantly gesturing to photographers as they left detention.
Who is going to stick around as a cop in NYC? How many more illegals will arrive over the next 6-12 months? What is the activation energy required to get average Joe and Jane, middle-class shlubs in the NYC area, to pull up stakes and move to Tennessee?
Shockingly, while we were in San Francisco, wife kitteh, an NPR, Chicago Yankee suggested that if middle son kitteh and his family leave the state, we would move to Alabama.
She got a wake-up call at SAN when she saw all the illegals going through security on their way to fly to spots all over the country. I wasn't surprised, but she was shocked. The country is being invaded and plenty of Yankee cities are falling. That might be a bit of hyperbole now, but think where this will be in 6-12 months.
I think it's way past time to get the band back together. Sic semper tyrannis, baby.

It's hard to tell from up here in the north, where all we get is third-hand accounts of people yelling contradictory things about immigration, but what exactly is going on down there?
- Who are the people coming across the border? And why are they coming now? What changed?
- Are they actually here illegally, or are they following the rules for requesting asylum, in which case they would be here legally (but mostly temporarily)?
- Why aren't they deported as fast as they come? Do they have to wait for court dates to determine whether they are approved or rejected for asylum?
- If it is a backlog of asylum seekers, why aren't we hiring a bunch of immigration judges, setting up field courtrooms, and processing them as fast as possible so that we can quickly send most of them back rather than letting them hang around for what sounds like years?
- Why is it mostly Texas and Florida expressing concern about this? I see on your map that the other 3 states on the Mexican border are not supporting Texas. Why not? Aren't they having the same problem?
- What is the actual plan to stop it? Is there a plan?
Tim, here are some answers.
Everyone who can make it is coming across the border. December alone saw 300,000+ illegals come into the country. There is effectively no border at all any more.
The new process, per the Biden administration, is that you find a Border Patrol dude, tell him you fear to return to your country and he will take down your name, give you a bag of treats - money, a cell phone and a way to get anywhere in the country - and then give you a slip of paper with a court date for your asylum hearing many years in the future. The change from Trump's process is that Trump made them stay in Mexico until their hearing. Biden releases them into the country immediately.
At 300,000 per month, you simply cannot built enough courtrooms and train enough judges to handle it. On an annual basis, this is Operation Barbarossa, the Nazi invasion of the Soviet Union, times two or three. It's simply unimaginable until you see them infesting San Diego Airport or wandering around the streets. Our friend from Chicago says they are overflowing the police stations there.
Guessing here: Texas and Florida have the most politically visible governors so they get the most press. Some of Arizona is freaking out as well. We have a flow coming through Jacumba which is about 70 miles from my house. No one in a position of power in CA cares.
There is no plan to stop it. This is racial replacement. The Democrats feel that if they can make whites a minority, they will never lose another election. It's not any more complicated than that.
Addendum: In addition to everyone attached to our land mass from Tierra del Fuego up to Tijuana, we're getting Africans, Middle Easterners, Eastern Europeans and Chinese.
The spookiest video I saw outside of the mass marches of 10,000+ heading up towards the border, was the Border Patrol apprehending a couple dozen military-age Chinese men. They were all fit, had crew cuts and identical backpacks.
There are also plenty of drone videos of illegals in camo coming across the border in groups where they cartels have sent a ton of illegals into one spot to draw what little Border Patrol there is away so the band of young men in camo can come through undetected.
Since no one in power knows how anything works, they cannot imagine what dangers might lurk in Chinese infantry units or cartel hit gangs coming into the country in large numbers.
One more take. I thought I was going out on a bit of a limb when I called the progressives the modern Nazis. Not any more. This is the invasion of Poland and we're Poland. Every single day, the equivalent of about 2-3 brigades of infantry enter the country unopposed. As a reference point, the US Army has a total of 14 infantry brigades.
Every week sees more illegals come into the country than the US has infantry men.
