Pacific Sunset

The time is ripe for picking up some new sunset videos. Rainy days have given us great clouds and sunset is timed perfectly with my drive home from work. I'm going to start bringing the little Kodak PlaySport and tripod with me in to work, but in the meantime, here's a shot I took yesterday with my Nikon artillery piece from some cliffs overlooking the Pacific. I left it large, so it's worth a click.

Enjoy.

That's odd - was yesterday Take a Picture of a California Sunset Day or something?

Or was the sunset just So Stunning yesterday that even science fiction authors from Ohio had to go out there to get pictures of it?

Whoops, I see that Scalzi's picture is actually a sunrise, not a sunset.

Yours is prettier, by the way.

A very calm day.

16 F? That's warmer than our high was a couple of days ago.
(The Jedi Council saw fit to send me to Riga, Latvia for three months. In the winter. Yay?)

The picture is lovely. I got a new camera toy for Christmas. I just have to figure out how it works now, lol.

Speaking of the weather, this is what's been going on over my head for the last few days. I'm on the completely whited-out bit sticking up into Lake Superior. The striped clouds are lake-effect snowstorms. It's a lot prettier from orbit than from ground level.
