This Is Not Europe

... or, Why We Should Be Optimistic About America.

In Europe and the US, we face crushing debt, brought on by a childish worldview that valued handing out goodies more than producing things of value. In Europe, when faced with the collapse of their socialist idiocy, they march and chant and protest. In America, we march and chant and protest. In Europe, they vote for socialists. In America, we vote to put an end to the destructive, omnivorous greed of the public employee union parasites.

That's a good reason to be optimistic about the US.

You would think that after 225 years of American success, Europe might try a similar path. Nope, left-wingers continue with the "America shouldn't reinvent the Wheel" socialism argument.

It's not the greed of unions that's a problem, its their coercive bargaining powers. Give employers the right to walk away from the table and employees the right to leave the union and they revert to their useful character.

I just don't understand the whole concept of the civil service union. Who are they protecting themselves from? The greedy taxpayers? Negotiations are all political backscratching. It seems so incestuous.
