Everyone Looks Like Me

As I understand it, the nomination of Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court is a big deal because she's a black woman. It's important because of the way she looks. Diving into the woke sewer that is the University of San Diego, owned and operated by the Diocese of San Diego, I found several references to the importance of people who looked a certain way being given important positions.

What gives? I thought we were Catholics.

Genesis 1:27 - "God created mankind in his image; in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them."

Galatians 3:26-29 - "For through faith you are all children of God in Christ Jesus. For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free person, there is not male and female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus. And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s descendant, heirs according to the promise."

Like, do we believe this junk or not? If we do, then everyone looks like you because we're all made in the image of God and we are all one in Christ Jesus. If we believed it, then race is irrelevant and, to some extent, sex is as well.

Meanwhile, our local, Catholic University is teaching racial classification that would make Jefferson Davis proud.

This isn't hard, guys.

In all the ways that matter, I look a lot like this.

Some will say that racial classification is necessary to overcome historic prejudices. No, no and no. The Catholic Church has the Truth. You don't help people get to the truth by hitting every False waypoint along the way. It's really simple. You just teach the Truth. Let the political people jockey for one voting bloc or another. Our job is to teach the Truth.

A whole bunch of people at USD need to go back to school.
