Introducing Bodie the Wonder Dog!

Administrative note: This weekend I fell and jammed my right wrist. It's still killing me. Blogging will be light until I have more use of my opposable thumbs and all tools in their bodily vicinity.

Now on with the post!

Yesterday we added a new member of the family, a male, 6-month-old spaniel mix named Bodie. Here he is in all his glory.

The whole family fell in love with him when we met him at the shelter yesterday and he quickly found himself in one of our cars, travelling back to my fiancee's house. He's cheerful and pleasant and seems to be pretty smart.

I have some crazy ideas about how we can still keep our Maximum Leader, but I need to flesh them out a bit more and consider all of their implications. More on that later.

Bodie will eventually need a blogging handle here at The Post. I'm not sure what he'll cover, but that will sort itself out in time.

Dear KT Cat:

A beautiful dog! But you need to find a way to keep the Maximum Leader. That cat is way cool. Keep us informed what you come up with.

Very cute puppy!

As regards the Maximum Leader, it is easiest to transition a cat from indoor/outdoor to strictly indoor during a move. In the new house she will have no territorial claims outside. She'll ask to go out, of course, but don't let her. She'll give it up eventually. You could probably set up some nice digs for her in the garage for the daytime and let her in the house in the evening.

What a good dog! He's beginning his new family relationship by putting his best paw forward!

I wonder if the Maximum Leader will grant him a title in the Feline Theocracy: Apostle to the Canines?
