Bobby Jindal for VP

I just heard the Governor of Louisiana interviewed on the Michael Medved show. He is very impressive. As much fun as I think it would be to have Meg Whitman as McCain's VP, I will now switch allegiance and endorse Bobby Jindal instead. The guy sounds like the real deal.

He may sound like it, but the fact is that I don't trust Louisiana politicians. They say that their Capitol dome is as tall as it is so it can hold all the bribe money...

Can’t realistically imagine McCain selecting anyone other than Palin as his Veep!

I could live with Palin. And not just because she's very attractive, not that it hurts either :)

My aunt, who lives in Alaska, had nothing but good things to say about her.

After a talk with the family last week about it, I'm kinda leaning towards Condi Rice.

Jindal needs to stay put. Louisiana voted for "change"... yes, I said it. He needs to deliver for those people. He's young - his time will come.

Justin, I'm warming to Condi as a Veep choice. Its solid pragmatically and obviously attractive, politically.

Jinal? Sounds like a Moslem name.

I can see why Alaska would support Condi though, after all the great work she did while on the board of Exxon Mobil to clean up after the Exxon-Valdez.

Bah, hit publish instead of preview.

When spelt right, Jindal sounds even more foriegn.

Anonymous 6:56 AM, my aunt in Alaska was talking about Palin, not Condi. Palin's their governor and is extremely popular, maintaining approval ratings in the 80's and 90's.

A commenter on another post says it much better than I can:

"They say McCain reads the blogs, so here goes --

Senator McCain- Don't let the campaign kibbitzers muddle things up.

First and foremost, Sarah Palin shares your values. She killed the bridge to nowhere. Need we say more?

As for the politics, Sarah Palin transcends geography. Her constituency, like yours, goes beyond state lines.

She will get your ticket access to voters all over the country based on who she is and what she stands for. Because she's young, a woman, a mother with young kids, she will grab media attention more than any other potential candidate.

Gov. Palin also has a son in the active duty military. You have very wisely taken your son's service in Iraq off the table as a campaign talking point. That is and should be respected. But others can talk about it and reflect on what it means.

A McCain-Palin administration would be the first in memory which has family members in uniform during wartime from both the President and Vice President. That would be a powerful statement as to the importance of national service, especially in uniform.

Most importantly, any Vice President should be ready to step up and serve in the event she is needed. Frankly, who is really ever ready? Gov. Palin is as ready as anybody, she is a quick learner, and in her public career has exhibited the courage and decisiveness needed for a great leader.

Godspeed to you in your campaign and in making this important decision."

We got him out of congress so he would stop screwing up health care (VFW ARTICLE)and he could devote all his time to screwing up Louisiana (we're 50th in everything ....so it won't look so bad) and now you want to put him on the national scene again. ???
He failed to respond when he was told that LA veterans couldn't call the hospital to get prescription medications filled. THE PHONE SYSTEM WAS DOWN FOR THREE MONTHS AND IT WAS 2007 ..... THE PHONES WORKED AFTER KATRINA. HE HATES POOR PEOPLE .... HE'S A REPUBLICAN.
