Flying Sea Lions

 They must be. How else could they get up to the top of that rock?

That's a pretty impressive climb for somebody with no legs. Unless the tides are actually that high?

The tide would be that high. The tide pools we used to go to on Point Loma would be at least that big.

After making that crack about "no legs", I got to wondering what a sea lion skeleton even looks like. And they look like this:

This actually looks like something that could have more climbing ability than I thought. And if I had been presented with these bones without knowing that things like seals and sea lions existed, I'm not sure I would have necessarily even twigged that it was a mostly-aquatic animal.
