No human counsel hath devised nor hath any mortal hand worked out these great things. They are the gracious gifts of the Most High God, who, while dealing with us in anger for our sins, hath nevertheless remembered mercy. In the spirit of Honest Abe*, I'd like to say that I am deeply thankful that God has given me innumerable chances to recover and learn from mistakes and friends (which includes all y'all) and family who have shown me supportive kindness and understanding forgiveness throughout my life. God bless all of you.
It has seemed to me fit and proper that they should be solemnly, reverently, and gratefully acknowledged, as with one heart and one voice, by the whole American people. I do therefore invite my fellow-citizens in every part of the United States, and also those who are in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next as a day of thanksgiving and praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the heavens.
* - Sometimes you can be a little too honest. :-)

Love that commercial.
Happy Thanksgiving, KT.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving.
Happy Turkey day KT. Seems the first Thanksgiving was actually suggested by Washington, but it didn't become a national holiday until Lincoln.
I was thinking about it yesterday and realized that Thanksgiving is the biggest non-religious holiday we as Americans celebrate. So everyone, regardless of religion can enjoy the celebration. A sad fact is that more and more stores are not closing on Thursday, so the workers don't get a chance to spend time with their families.
