I've been deep in other projects which I will share later. I didn't want the blog to flicker and go out entirely, so here's a photo of Leah, our sunshine dog. She's an old lady now and things hurt that she cannot tells us. She loves the sunshine, even on the hottest of San Diego days.
There's not much in life sweeter to me than to see her basking in the sun, warming her old bones.

Yes, I can see her wanting to sun a lot. I've met a few people up here with chihuahuas, and they Do Not Handle The Cold Well. Incidentally, right now we are at 20 F. She wouldn't like it here.
So how old is she these days? About 12 or so?
She's about 11, I think. I should know because we got her as a puppy. She definitely doesn't like the cold. In fact, we have little coats for them to wear in January when it gets into the 40s outside.
Last night, the doorbell rang and when I opened the door, 2 of 3 pugs in sweaters started coming right in the house. A young woman asked if these were our dogs. Apparently, they started following her, and then came right up to our door. We'd just finished shoveling so the path was clear, but the roads weren't yet.
Nice guys, but I'm thinking the 3 cats wouldn't be too happy.
My wife saw on facebook that they might live on the south end of town. About 2-3 miles.
