It sounds like a lovely recipe, but I practice the hypocrisy of aesthetic vegetarianism: I don't eat anything really cute. So, I don't consume lamb, veal, or rabbit (but I love steak).
I'm convinced that most vegetarians/vegans start off not wanting to eat anything cute or relate-able. But they feel bad for discriminating against [consuming] ugly animals like fish, so they exclude that from their diet too. Do that a few times and you're sitting down to a tofu stir fry with brown rice.
I like meat too much to slip any further down that slope. I know I discriminate, but I don't let it keep me up nights.
"There ought to be some way of saving our skins. They ought to be passing a law. Just show anybody a cute little lamb And they'll all stand around and go "Aw!" Well, potatoes are ugly. Potatoes are plain. We're wrinkled and lumpy to boot. But give me a break, kid. Do you mean to say That you'll eat us because we're not cute?"
Could probably manage that with mutton.... I know it's possible to make mutton taste like lamb, because my grandmother did it regularly, I just don't know how to do it!
