Yes you can! Tom Haws discovered the trick that lets you enter GPS coordinates into the 1212. While the 1212 is meant for driving, Tom's found how to make it useful for trails. Way cool!

I had a Magellan for about a day... didn't do waypoints. Guess they can now. My Garmins do waypoints many different ways, with PC management programs being the easiest.
