Scrolling through my favorite X feed every day, I can't help but see the same theme of the self-hatred of the West played out all over the place. Dig this set from this morning and see if you see it like I do. They are presented in no particular order.
Bonus points if you see the thread of pathological femininity running through them as well.
This is almost certainly the reason behind Spain’s blackout. https://t.co/6flwMSyBsO pic.twitter.com/t0j0ehZVjh

Not an original point but it is absolutely wild that there is an entire generation of under-socialised boys forced into female coded environments and the solution to this is just giving them methamphetamines

That first video, with the cooling towers being demolished, appears to be the Teruel power station. It was fairly small as power plants go (only 368 MW), and it burned lignite coal, easily the filthiest power source available. It had a reputation for being one of the most polluting power plants in Spain, and the neighbors evidently hated it. They did put in sulfur scrubbers after its sulfur dioxide emissions killed a bunch of the surrounding forest, but then they decided that it also emitted too much nitrogen oxides (which also makes acid rain), and fixing that as well would cost too much and so they shut it down.

The shutdown was 5 years ago. The demolition video is from way back in 2022. This is very much old news. It almost certainly had nothing to do with the recent power failure, which was a network instability issue, not a lack of generating capacity.
