I like to make buttermilk biscuits from The Glory of Southern Cooking, but I wondered how restaurants get theirs to be so, so, so, well ... buttery. One day, while making them, I decided to add that half stick and discovered the secret.
If you want more buttery flavor, add more butter. Counter-intuitive, I know, but there you have it!
They come out crispier because of all the delicious fats! |
