Mean Time Before Failure

I've had this one in my head for days now and haven't found the time to attack the keyboard with it. Now I do. Banzai!

Marxism fails. Marxism in all its repellent forms always fails. Not all business owners are evil. The Jews didn't oppress the Germans. Straight, white Christian men didn't create social structures to oppress people. The underlying ideas are dead wrong so the prescriptions based on those ideas are losers.

However, they don't all lose at the same speed. Some aspects need years to ripen and bear their rancid fruit. San Francisco wasn't obliterated in a day, as the old saying goes.

Bud Light, however, was obliterated in a day. A single interaction with Dylan Mulvaney and poof! Bud Light was done.

The Marxists said it was a good idea. Dylan fights the white supremacist patriarchy. Dylan is an avatar of being your authentic self. Dylan is good. Disagreeing with Dylan is evil. It was all so very, very clear to them.

Marxism is wrong. Decisions based on it almost always lead to failure. This is what the beer coolers at a recent Padres game had in stock near the end of the game.

By the 7th inning, there was still plenty of Bud Light. It looked like only 3 had been bought the whole night.

Annihilating a beer brand takes a day or so and crushing a city takes a decade or more. It all depends on the boomerang speed of your decisions. Some things, like mass marketing beer or building skyscrapers, let you know you're an idiot right away. Other things, like drug addicts dying in your streets amidst feces and needles take a bit longer.

However long it takes, it all ends the same way with the Marxists. Failure.

First, in years gone by that cooler would have had two shelves of Bud Light and one each for the others.

Anyone who doesn’t know that Marxism/Socialism/Communism is a bad deal for the masses is either an Ivy League graduate, a ‘Democrat’ Member of the US Congress, or just an idiot (I guess that should have been and/or). How many examples do they need? USSR (and the entire Eastern Europe Iron Curtain satellites), China under Mao, Cambodia (see “killing fields”), Cuba, Nicaragua, Columbia, Venezuela, North Korea, etc. Oh, and Sweden is NOT a Socialist country.

True Bud Light has never been tried.

Marxism fails at different rates, because it takes different amount of time for the Marxists to spend other peoples money.
Here in the Union of Minnesota Socialist Republic, Comrade Walz blew through 18 billion in surplus money in a mere 3 months. And then raised taxes.
We are in the market for a new car (newer or new), and we screwed up by not buying it last month.
The Emperor raised the tax rate on purchasing a vehicle from 6.5% to 6.875%. And the tax paid is not on what you paid for the vehicle, it is fair market value. For a new car, that's MSRP. They didn't take away trade in allowance at least.
I know it's just another $100-200 extra for me. And that's money well taxed for the Emperor to drive (sorry light rail) the state off the cliff.

MN - Could not agree more. Here is a sample of how the Marxists in the People’s Republic of California is wasting money. Your “light rail” comment reminded me of the current ‘Bullet Train’ fiasco here.

Way back in 2008 the suckers who fell for it passed a 9.95 billion dollar bond package to build a high speed train from San Diego to Los Angeles, then through the Central Valley to San Francisco, and finally to Sacramento. The “estimated” total cost of the whole thing was about 20 billion (and jumped to 33 billion almost the day after it passed). So far they are only working on a ~170 mile stretch in the Central Valley from Bakersfield to Merced (I.e., the middle of freaking nowhere) and they’ve dropped the SD to LA section completely. So far they have 0 miles of working track and have spent more than 10 billion with a current estimate of 35 billion for this worthless stretch. The current ‘estimate’ for the “entire” LA to Sacramento length is 128 billion (but haven’t re-estimated the Palmdale to Anaheim section - that’s the LA section - so the final will be WAY higher).

When Dean was blogging, he'd cover that topic once a month or soon. It was fascinating to read. Just a testament to the ability for liberals to waste money under the guise of their religion.

Which reminds me of another post of his referencing some morons opinion piece in the Washington Post or some equally useless rag, that makes the case that they (the liberal elites) are so much smarter than the founding fathers, and that because of that, we really need to get rid a bunch of the constitution and bill of rights because they limit what the elites can do to us.

California and Minnesota and other far left states are proof positive that the founding fathers were much smarter than any of us today.
