Blogging from my phone again.
At a Walmart in Chattanooga, I was surprised to see parents and children shopping for school supplies. It took me a minute to figure out what month it was and what that meant. Now that our children have all grown up and moved out, I no longer have them to keep me aware of the seasons.
Without sports schedules, I'd be totally lost.

Your kids are all grown up? Feels weird sometimes doesn't it, and you don't realise till it's over what a short time you have them. My daughter's two girls are 12 and 15 now and a while ago she said, 'I want my little kids back!' But you send them out into the world with much pleasure at seeing them make lives of their own. I have sympathy for people who can't have kids but apart from that I'm of the opinion that if you don't have kids, what was the point of your life really?
Amen, brother. Your accomplishments fade over time, but the children and grandchildren and so on live on.
