The Cotton Is Starting To Pop

I swear, cotton must be the most Southern plant in the world. It takes its own sweet time doing everything. Right now, the plants are loaded with bolls, but they're just sitting there. Finally, I've got two that are popping.

This is the most ambitious of the cotton bolls. The one in the upper left is still only fixin' to pop.

I won't every grow cotton again. I'm glad I did it, but it's just not worth the effort as a backyard plant. Tobacco, I'll do that again, if only to try to get the fermentation right.

It's already there or nearby. But pigs love to eat it, so get a few swine.
