A Thomist learns to party on.
What do you know, I can share your dream. And who says the two sides can't agree on anything.
I'm thinking that a coup and a miltary junta might be the only chance for the US for the next 4 years.
I would probably agree with Mostly Nothing, except that Our Fearless Leader took a page out of the Erdogan playbook and has been purging the military for the last few years. Our military is now being led by officers seriously considering transgender recruits and think that global warming is the greatest threat faced by the military.
Couldn't you just see Hillary in an orange jumpsuit explaining to her cellmates for the umpteenth time how she was innocent and it was all a right-wing smear job?
Meanwhile, Trump going bankrupt as a result of fraud would have no effect on his popularity. He'd still get 35-40% in the general election.
No, that still wouldn't be perfect, but it *still* wouldn't involve the mass of The People -- including you -- making their political choices based both on reality and on the Constitution.Trump is crude, vulgar, shallow, etc and etc. And he is pretty ignorant of the Constitution, and not likely to do anything to fix that. The Democrats are *all* socialists ... and murderers and traitors ... top to bottom. But Cruz and Rubio are not a natural born US citizen. Cruz *knows* that he isn't a natural born US citizen , and he doesn't intend to let that stand between him and his ambition.Rubio probably carefully keeps himself ignorant of the relevent facts, so that he can pretend to "honestly" think himself a natural born US citizen. But *you* do likewise with respect to both men. You don't *want* to know that Cruz and Rubio are Constitutionally disqualified, and so you keep yourself ignorant. The USA is doomed, because almost no one cares about following the law.
"... but it *still* wouldn't... "that's supposed to be "because it *still* wouldn't"
