Ta-Nehisi's Inverse

... are the white supremacists.

It didn't occur to me until I saw the following tweets.

I've been following conservative politics for decades. The last race-conscious conservative commentator I can remember was Pat Buchanan who got drummed out of the movement for precisely that reason about 30 years ago. All of this screaming about white supremacists has nothing to do with conservatives at all.

I listen to Andrew Klavan's podcast and have heard talks by Dennis Prager, Ben Shapiro, Jonah Goldberg, Jordan Peterson, Tucker Carlson and many, many others. Their biggest applause lines are always about assimilation and having a color-blind society. The whole identity politics thing, regardless of grouping, is an anathema to the right. We don't have anything to do with white nationalism any more than we do with Black Lives Matter, La Raza or Pride parades. You can't be a conservative and embrace these things because they go against our fundamental principles - personal freedom, personal responsibility and private property.

In a substantive way, the Left screaming about racism is just the Left screaming at itself.

Ta-Nehisi Coates is angry about racial stuff. So are the white supremacists. What's the diff?

Sissy Willis (Tweet): "Vox Day says the alt-right is conservative. It’s actually an identity movement on par with Black Lives Matter, La Raza, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, & other products of @CulturalMarxism." … "

Actually, VD emphatically denies that "alt-right" is conservative -- he *despises* conservativism -- so, that's one of the few times he's honest.

And, yes indeed, "alt-right" *is* "actually an identity movement on par with Black Lives Matter, La Raza, the Council on American-Islamic Relations, & other products of @CulturalMarxism." Or, to put it another way, it's just another variant of collectivism ... which is left, not right.

My take on the Alt-Right, beyond the folks who are basically just going "argh, this is Dem light, something else!"-- it's folks who are pissed off Democrats, or worse yet hard core Liberals, who want to change targets.

That's it.
