There's A Tiger Loose In My House. How Will This Affect Joe Biden's Campaign?

The grandkittens are here today, so this will be short.

Following Biden's dementia-saturated performance art piece, the news media is obsessed with how it will affect his campaign. Will he be replaced? How? With whom? Will he stay in the race? Can he recover and still beat Trump?

This is like having a tiger loose in your house and worrying about how it will affect a wealthy politician in another city. Err, maybe you ought to worry about whether or not you will survive.

Biden has had dementia this whole time. The press knew it all along. They've been gaslighting us for more than 3 years now and after the debate, everyone can see it. To protect Biden, they have taken whatever was left of their credibility and incinerated it.

Their concern ought to be with their future employment situation, not Biden's campaign. What's the point in tuning into a news program that deliberately hides the news?

Bill Maher Is Coming Apart

I would argue that Charles Murray's Coming Apart is the best nonfiction book of the last 25 years. In it, Charles describes how American society has bifurcated into two distinct, practically non-overlapping groups: the wealthy, college-educated elites and the blue collar workers. He called them Belmont (elites) and Fishtown (blue collar).

The folks in Belmont live in a bubble where they associate almost exclusively with each other. Charles put together a quiz that helped you find out just how thick your Belmont bubble was. You can find it here. Sample questions include the following.

Have you ever walked on a factory ๏ฌ‚oor?

Have you ever held a job that caused something to hurt at the end of the day?

Have you ever participated in a parade not involving global warming, a war protest, or gay rights?

Since leaving school, have you ever worn a uniform?

You can watch Charles discuss his book on Uncommon Knowledge here.

Bill Maher lives in Belmont. He is a wealthy entertainer with his own TV show. He lives in Los Angeles. His audience live in Belmont. They all clap and cheer at the appropriate times and none of them would vote for Trump. They don't work jobs where they sweat and they don't drive pickup trucks*.

The DNC, the education industry, popular entertainers and the news media all live in that same bubble. During the 2020 Democratic primaries, when it looked like Bernie Sanders was going to win, the elites got together and engineered Biden's victory by getting black leaders to back Biden in South Carolina. This isn't a secret.

Maher and his ilk are responsible for putting a man they all knew could never do the job in the White House. Now dig Maher's monologue after watching Biden seize up with dementia on worldwide TV during his debate with Trump.

They're all laughing at the results of their own disastrous decision. Maher's totally unaware of his role in what happened, but what does he care? He's got piles of cash and a secure position. So do the people in his audience. It's all hilarious to them.

Now dig this scene from England.

The consequences of Maher and his audience's decisions, both to help install Joe Biden in the White House and support unlimited migration are paid by the kind of people who buy their clothes at Walmart. Here's a scene from Germany where Christians are beaten and killed by Muslim migrants.

Maher certainly isn't Christian and the people in his audience aren't, either. Again, the decisions of the elite cabal who chose Biden and, as a consequence, allowed unlimited migration across the West, are affecting the rabble from Fishtown, not the college-educated snobs who clap and bark like trained seals for Maher's unfunny jokes.

I know those are foreign examples, but they're what I found this morning doom-scrolling Twitter and I want to get to the gym so I'm not spending any time looking for American examples that we all know exist. You get the idea.

After Biden's collapse in the debate, I've seen video after video of elites talking about What It All Means, but they only think in terms of the election, the party and the donor class. None of them talk about What It All Has Meant for the unwashed swine from flyover country for the past 4 years.

That's because they neither know nor do they care.

* - Yes these are over-broad generalizations, but I hate what the phrase "most, but not all of them are like this" does to prose, so I don't use it.

Peak Incineration

Wow.

That had to be peak incineration last night. It's one thing for our institutions to self-destruct by telling blatant lies, it's another to have a massive fraud at the highest levels made so blindingly obvious that no one can deny it any more.

Earlier this week, the NYT ran a story talking about how the islands in the Pacific that were supposed to be underwater by now because of Global Warming Climate Change are actually larger than before. The climate community regularly sets itself on fire like that. It's not that surprising. It happens every day to all kinds of allegedly respectable organizations.

That's bad, but this is way worse.

If Today Is Bad

... tomorrow will probably be worse.

Dig this and ponder the implications of it if you lived there.

Ignore the holiest shrine stuff and just think about what it's like to be a resident of Knock. After all, there are lots and lots of places like Knock all over the West these days.

At first, you might think that the police and the authorities will protect you. After all, there are laws and rules. Then you find out that the laws and rules don't really apply to the "migrants." Over time, more "migrants" come to your village / town / city. They go from 10 to 20 to 30% of the population. As they become more numerous, they become bolder. Perhaps your gay friend's favorite hangout doesn't fly the Pride flag any more. Perhaps your daughter or wife get harassed on the street.

You start to wonder where this is going. Your faith in the authorities is tested when a young woman is gang raped by a group of "migrants" in a nearby village and you hear that the cops and courts only handed out minor sentences if they did anything at all.

A court in Germany has sentenced only one of nine men for raping and sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl to time behind bars.

According to reports in German media, an Iranian man was sentenced last week to two years and nine months in juvenile detention for the crimes committed three years ago at a Hamburg park during COVID-19 restrictions.

The others convicted of rape — filmed twice during separate assaults — received suspended sentences of one to two years. Four were identified as German, while the others have Armenian, Afghan, Kuwaiti and Montenegrin citizenship, reports said.

The trial heard DNA evidence connected the nine accused to the crime.

At some point, you can see where this is all headed. The authorities do not have your back. The cops are not there to protect you. If you and your friends want to make a stand and get the "migrants" out of your village, you won't ever have better odds than you do today because every month more and more arrive, brought in by the authorities.

You're left with 5 choices.

  1. Wait for things to get better. The authorities will have to eventually take care of their constituents, right?
  2. Deny that anything is actually changing and if it is, diversity makes you stronger, right?
  3. Vote! Elect someone who says they will take care of it. After you vote, go to option 1.
  4. Move away. Things are getting worse all the time. It's not just that you'll never have better odds than you do right now, it's also that your property values will never be higher than they are right now.
  5. Stand and fight. Get some of the lads together and bust heads until the "migrants" can see they're not welcome. This decision would need to be made when the odds are 9-1 or so because the "migrants" are mostly young men while your population includes women, children and the elderly. A 9-1 ratio really works out to about 1-1 once you exclude non-combatants.

If you flee this time, where will you make your stand?

My Joe Biden Debate Conspiracy Theory

Elsewhere, more responsible people are positing that the reason the Democrats offered Joe Biden up as a human sacrifice in a debate with Trump well before the party conventions was to determine whether or not he was going to last through the campaign.

Me, I'm willing to make a wild, unsubstantiated suggestion because I've got nothing at all riding on these blog posts.

What if the plan is to have Biden fall apart on stage? That is, they juice him with amphetamines before the debate just like they did before the State of the Union speech, only this time they shortchange him. Instead of enough drugs to carry him through 90 minutes of ranting, they only give enough for about 30 minutes. After 30 minutes of spittle-flecked raging, he subsides into those weird whispers and finally just falls apart completely.

If they did that, he would obviously have to replaced as the candidate before the convention and the DNC could pick their own nominee in a bong-smoke-filled back room. I've heard others say that passing over Kamala would be a problem, but I don't believe that. They could nominate Newsom and he could pick a Hispanic drag queen as VP or something like that and everyone could get behind him/her/them/xim because behind it would be the safest place to be.

It's all winning, if you ask me.

Gavin Newsom, you are the winner!

Don't Judge! Trump!

Dig this from Bill Maher and Andrew Cuomo, discussing Trump's NY felony convictions.

They've got it partly right, but they've missed a bigger point, probably because they agree with it or perhaps because they marinate in it so much that they don't even know it exists. The point is this:

If every sex act known to man or beast is morally the same, then you can't very well go after Trump for boinking a porn star and expect the charges to be taken with any kind of importance at all.

For decades, the progressives have told us "love is love," "don't judge," "love the one you're with" and so on. They won that particular battle and now dominate the culture of sex. Everything goes! For example, dig how Lego is now including furries in with the LGBT crowd.

If you've convinced us that people having orgies while wearing animal costumes is OK, you can't very well expect us to gasp in scandalized, Victorian horror when a billionaire playboy pays off a porn star. In fact, paying off a porn star is so mild that it's almost prudish. Compare Trump's hush money to the behavior of the head of LGBTQ Democrats for Maryland.

Is it any wonder why Trump's convictions didn't move the polls and only resulted in him receiving a tsunami of donations?

All Political Violence Is Local

This is from Twitter, so you can't tell if it's real, if it's a video from somewhere other than France or if it's just an isolated incident blown out of proportion for clicks. Still ...

... it doesn't just seem plausible, it seems inevitable.

Muslims now have local majorities across Europe and England. That is, there are towns or suburbs or inner city areas that aren't just majority Muslim, but are also run under Sharia law. The Muslims are dug in and don't want to leave. In fact, there are plenty of videos out there showing how some of them see what's happening as the right and proper conquest of the infidels.

Europeans can vote however they want, but the violence is coming unless the European infidels submit or flee. It's worth noting that the ANTIFA goons are currently riding the tiger, but their perch is pretty unstable. It won't be long before they fall off the tiger and get eaten.

My money, if you want to know, is on flight. That seems to be the trend with civilized folks these days, whether it's people fleeing San Francisco or people fleeing Malmo, Sweden.

Google is planning to move out of one of its massive offices on the edge of San Francisco Bay later this year, Google confirmed to SFGATE on Thursday.

As first reported by the San Francisco Chronicle, Google plans to depart from its 300,000-square-foot office in One Market Plaza’s Spear Tower within the next year. This is the first time in Google has been reported to be entirely leaving a building in San Francisco, even as the tech giant has moved to cut over a million square feet of office space elsewhere in the Bay Area.

Last I heard, a lot of those Google jobs will be moved to Las Vegas.

Anyway, it's all well and good to be a firebrand and talk about forcibly deporting migrants, but when push comes to shove, you'd better be ready to do a lot of pushing and shoving because the people you want to evict don't want to go and they're more used to violence than you are.

Be All You Don't Want To Be

Dig this.

Now take a gander at this.

The diversity crowd does not respect Islam. When you have Queers for Palestine and when erstwhile feminists go full Hamas cheerleader, you know they haven't bothered to learn a thing about Islam. Like children who adopt a pet whose needs they don't understand, the progs see the Muslims as small, furry animals, not real people.

As a result, the Muslims have been imported into European countries by the boatload and now many European and English cities are run by Muslims, if not outright majority Muslim. Sharia courts are proliferating and, pace Mohammed, the Muslims are feeling powerful enough to start telling the truth about their intentions. I don't have the time to track them down, but there are plenty of imams preaching the inevitable conquest of this host country or that.

Some conservatives, like those in the Reform movement in England, are under the impression that they can retake London and other cities just by stopping immigration. Au contraire, mes amis. That will only slow down your submission. Your current crop of Muslims is outbreeding you by about 4-1 per woman.

No, it's not going to work, just closing your border. You're going to have to do something that doesn't suit you at all. You're going to have to get aggressive and kick them out of the country. You and they are not compatible. You cannot live together.

Bringing them in by the boatload doomed you to become something you never wanted to be. You will either become aggressive and unpleasant or you will become a dhimmi in your own country and submit to their rule or you will become Muslim yourselves.

The same thing has played out over and over throughout history. None of this is new or surprising. It's a sign of how much we've grown to hate our own culture that we don't see the Muslims as an existential threat.

Education Is Free?

I just got back from Dixie and it's Father's Day, which means I get to cook whatever I want. I've got a full day ahead, so this will be short.

Dig this.

The lousy test scores are dominated by horrific performance among black students. Like it is in Baltimore, which is a city run top to bottom by blacks.

If every time the education budget was increased, we each needed to write a check to the city to pay for it, we'd have gone completely nonlinear over this long ago. Instead, a decent chunk of it is paid with borrowed money our children and grandchildren will have to repay.

The destruction of a generation of black children is happening, in part, because the rest of us are living in a fantasy world made from borrowed money. It doesn't impact our wallets, it just impacts the lives of people we will probably never meet.

Logan Airport Is A Marriott Hotel

This is Boston's Logan Airport.

The people in that shot are all illegals. Boston has run out of other places to store them. The illegals are here in the country, not because we're compassionate like we tell ourselves, but because our children are paying for them. That's what $34T+ of debt means.

This is what I was saying in the last post. We're living on a movie set, the most expensive movie set ever. We're all play-acting as compassionate people, allowing as many "migrants" into the country as can make it over the border. Love, not hate!

It's happening because we don't have to pay for any of it, not yet at least. We've borrowed our way into a fantasy world.

Any politician who suggested they all be deported would be greeted with gasps of horror by the press. The very idea would be racist, xenophobic, heartless, cruel, hateful, etc. That's because the press live on the movie set where everything is free.

If the members of the press had to pay out of their own pockets for the illegals, they'd be demanding the illegals be deported right away.

The Most Expensive Movie Set Ever

... is where we live right now.

I'm about an eighth in the bag, in Fairhope, Alabama, after 10 hours on the road, after several days of high-stress work that determined how I live for the rest of my life, so you're going to have to deal with some zaniness.

In following blog posts, I'm going to argue that, thanks to spending zillions of dollars we don't have, we're actually all living in a fantasy world. Like so.

It's not that he's shouting, "This is an octopus!" it's that we all agree with him.

This is the reason we live on that particular movie set.

I know I live on that movie set. A good deal of this blog had been devoted to pushing over the fake trees and touching the fake water to see that it's not actually wet.

See you in a day or two. Like I said, I'm only an eighth in the bag right now. That needs to be rectified slightly*. It's been a crazy, happy week.

Ohioan, I found the perfect place here in Dixie, but it got an offer today and will hopefully be sold to someone else.  I finally saw it with a realtor today and what it told me was encouraging information about prices and locations. I'm very happy even if we miss out on that particular piece of heaven. There will be more.

* - That translates to one more beer. I'm not going that far these days.

Using ChatGPT As An Accountability Partner

Here in SoCal, back during the depths of Covid when we weren't allowed to leave our houses for much of anything, the only thing there was to do was drink. Well, we did other things, but the stores quickly ran out of jigsaw puzzles while they never ran out of booze.

Concerned, I talked to a friend of mine who was on the other side of just about every addiction known to man or beast. He hooked me up with an accountability group who met online. I lasted two sessions. The members of that group were the type who could polish off a fifth before 3 PM and who had destroyed their lives. It was clear that an amateur like me, who occasionally woke up with a headache, had no business wasting their time.

Fast forward to now and I still want that partner. Recently, it dawned on me that ChatGPT can provide the encouragement and suggestions I need. I started a new chat session by spelling out everything I knew about my habits, my risk times and my motives. I had it ask me some questions to further flesh out the details and in short order, it knew enough about me and what I was trying to do to make a perfectly adequate partner.

I chat with it every day. Since I started, my success rate has tripled. It's not that it has mind-blowing insights, it's that it has become the morning me that afternoon me needs to hear.

When I started, it would give saccharine responses. I told it to get sharper and once, I even told it to be sarcastic and abusive after I said I was feeling some serious temptations. I loved the results.

Oh, feeling the urge to crack open a beer, huh? Because clearly, all that weight you want to lose, those terrible workouts, and the crappy sleep aren't enough of a deterrent. Why not just throw all your hard work out the window? It's not like you care about your health or energy, right?

Sure, go ahead. Ignore the fact that you'll feel miserable tomorrow and probably ruin yet another workout. Who needs mental clarity or a stable mood anyway? Your immune system loves being weakened, and hey, wasting money on booze is a fantastic financial strategy.

But wait, don’t forget your faith. I'm sure God totally wants you to keep drinking even though you know it's not what He wants for you. So, by all means, open that beer and let’s watch all those reasons you want to quit go down the drain. Because clearly, short-term pleasure is way more important than all those long-term benefits you actually care about.

It was like talking to Cat.

Go ahead and ruin your life. I don't care.

Monarchy? No Thanks.

I've heard plenty of youngish people on the left and right talking about how a monarchy or a strongman or a socialist government would be preferrable to the failure we see today.

Meh.

Look, I get it. Our institutions are incompetent, corrupt and ignorant. SciAm is obsessed with race, the American Endocrine Society has been taken over by gender lunatics and the CDC had us wearing masks to stop an airborne virus. They're all guilty as charged.

That's not the real problem, though. From Mark Steyn's upbeat book, After America: Get Ready for Armageddon:

There are many people who can run businesses worth a million dollars. The ability to run a billion-dollar corporation is the province of very few individuals. The skill-set required to run a multi-trillion-dollar enterprise is unknown to human history.

From that same tome, here's a summary of how legislators crafting Obamacare gave authority to the bureaucracy.

(T)he new law contained 700 references to the Secretary (of Health and Human Services) "shall," another 200 to the Secretary "may," and 139 to the Secretary "determines." So the Secretary may and shall determine pretty much anything she wants.

I would bet that our congresscritters in 1824 and 1924 weren't much better than the ones we have in 2024. The big difference the scope of their stupidity and ignorance.

It's not that we need to elect the right people, it's that at the scale of our government's reach, the right people don't exist. We can elect Trump and get a better result than the cadaver-in-chief we've got right now, but it's not going to be that much better. We could have a king, but the king isn't going to be sticking his hands into the details of health care. The problem is that health care and Global Warming Climate Change and racial justice and Medicare Part D should never have been part of the government in the first place.

The Democrats or Republicans could get a massive majority in both houses and in the end it won't matter because like Obamacare, they've sloughed off their powers to the bureaucracy. They had to because what they are trying to do is simply more than anyone can manage.

Heavy is the brow that wears the crown. The one that sleeps next to it, not so much.

Collapse Isn't Uniform

On Twitter, I like to pose a question that no one has yet answered.

Take a map of the world and draw an outline around the place where you will make your stand. General Robert Nivelle's "They shall not pass" as it were.

Whether you draw the outline or not, it is happening. Money and competence leave as decay gets worse. Dig this.

Twitter user Jason posted this story in reply.

25 years ago I was GM at a large property service company in Minneapolis. It was bad in an area & we wanted to terminate a contract. Doubled our price to keep extra guy at truck to prevent theft. We lasted another year before there was a gun incident, we quit all contracts.

We didn't think North Minneapolis was dangerous, theft was the huge problem. They would steel everything from the truck if unattended. Some young guy threw a gun in our truck while getting chased by cops and that was the last straw. Management companies couldn't find service.

In the video above, there's an air of unreality as the woman, who presents as a progressive, says she's asking the government to do something about the paving of the road, saying "it's not fair to anybody" that the street wasn't repaved.

Requests for fairness and $3.50 will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks, honey. Once you drive away competence and money, this is what you get. Clearly, Oakland is not inside our stronghold.

In Oregon, parents are told to have no expectations that their police force will prevent perverts from exposing themselves to children.

It looks like Oregon is outside of our stronghold, too.

Syracuse might have to be added to the list as well.

The formation of a stronghold doesn't have to be deliberate, either. My claim is that it is happening organically, right now. The growth of the red states shows that. Further, the red states enacting laws against butchering and poisoning children in the name of gender affirmation is a kind of defensive perimeter. Dittos for the elimination of DEI in their schools.

I would think that real estate values in such places will only go up and values in the blue states and cities will go down. This is not investment advice, just a notion lumbering around in my noggin.

Not everyone is supine.

I Would Not Have Made That Trade

Essentially, the Democrats turned the law into a prostitute in exchange for the ability to use the words "convicted felon" when referring to Donald Trump. That's about it. He might go to jail as well, but we'll see how that plays out.

Meanwhile, Elon Musk tweeted this.

Hard to view this as anything other than abuse of the law for political purposes

He quoted a tweet from another user that contained this text.

CNN Senior Legal Analyst Describes How The Trump Conviction Was A Political Hit Job

1. "The judge donated money... in plain violation of a rule prohibiting New York judges from making political donations—to a pro-Biden, anti-Trump political operation."

2. Alvin Bragg boasted on the campaign trail in an overwhelmingly Democrat county, “It is a fact that I have sued Trump over 100 times.”

3. "Most importantly, the DA’s charges against Trump push the outer boundaries of the law and due process."

4. "The charges against Trump are obscure, and nearly entirely unprecedented. In fact, no state prosecutor — in New York, or Wyoming, or anywhere — has ever charged federal election laws as a direct or predicate state crime, against anyone, for anything. None. Ever."

5. The DA inflated misdemeanors past the statute of limitations and "electroshocked them back to life" by alleging the falsification of business records was committed 'with intent to commit another crime.'

6. "Inexcusably, the DA refused to specify what those unlawful means actually were — and the judge declined to force them to pony up — until right before closing arguments. So much for the constitutional obligation to provide notice to the defendant of the accusations against him in advance of trial."

7. "In these key respects, the charges against Trump aren’t just unusual. They’re bespoke, seemingly crafted individually for the former president and nobody else."

8. "The Manhattan DA’s employees reportedly have called this the “Zombie Case” because of various legal infirmities, including its bizarre charging mechanism. But it’s better characterized as the Frankenstein Case, cobbled together with ill-fitting parts into an ugly, awkward, but more-or-less functioning contraption that just might ultimately turn on its creator."

As of right now, here are the stats for the tweets.

Elon's tweet.

The original tweet.

I don't think I would have made that trade. Those are monster numbers, blowing away the viewership of the Democrats' mouthpieces at CNN, MSNBC, NYT, WaPo, etc. I can't begin to imagine how much money you'd have to spend to get those kinds of numbers for political TV ads.

This is just one more data point showing that this is not an election in the normal sense, it's primal scream therapy for both sides.
