Lately, ChatGPT has been producing some really lovely art for me. On Twitter, at the end of the day, I like to close out with some pleasant AI art. I'm now going to do the same at the start of the day. My initial efforts have involved an older, Southern man or woman with a cat. Dig these, posted last night and this morning, respectively. Each took only a few iterations to get something I liked.
Yeah, these things are getting better all the time. It looks like it almost, but not quite, lets you use the same old man and cat in different situations.
ReplyDeleteOn the "finding" end of things, I've noticed that the Google image search has improved rather remarkably, particularly for identifying insects. Back when I first tried it back in 2012 to identify a caterpillar, it "matched" with several close-ups of women's eyelashes, and a fish head. But when I do it now, on pretty much any insect, it actually gives plausible IDs down to at least the genus level, and often to the species level. I still have to use my own judgement to weed out the obvious wrong ones, but the correct ones are generally right up there in the first couple of hits.
