I asked for one thing, and I got one thing (other than from my wife, who I didn't ask for anything but got two things). Good thing the one thing (a reference book) came with a CD-ROM so I can load it on the netbook and not drag the 20 lb. thing around.
Hmmm. I wonder if your CD comes with regular updates to the text? That makes me wonder if I could get regular updates to the French cookbook, just in case the Germans conquer them again.
S_ got a copy of "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" for her birthaday, and has been using it quite a bit. I think you'll enjoy it, but be prepared to use a *lot* of butter.
Gotz lenses for my digital slr....boffo good stuff....yay. And the Dragn suggested a road trip back home to Tombstone for the coming weekend, AND....Holiday Bowl tickets down your way.

"Version 11.3 - now with Sauerbraten!"
Wonderful picture of the Maximum Leader! I hope that she got a gift commensurate with her lofty status!
She got several helpings of tuna. She loved it!
It's an annual book. If the CD's out of date, buy next year's edition.

A Droid? Cool!
You will love the Droid. It just works. Wonderful phone.
I almost got the dock for it. Tammy went to 5-6 stores trying to get it. No luck. So I got a GC to get one.
"The Book of Basketball" by ESPN's Bill Simmons. Think "Baseball Abstract" by Bill James except for hoops junkies. From my nephew.
He and I are basically the same age so his reminisces of the 80s and the Celtic/Laker - Bird/Magic rivalry were opposite sides of the same coin.
Very good read
