Dean, I had a Facebook account as K T Cat for a while, but I finally took it down. I got too many friend requests from readers and I didn't have the time to respond to them. I really didn't explore it as a way to bring traffic to this blog.
If I was to do it again, I would find groups that I wanted to influence and join them and then try promoting my blog on their message boards. I don't know what proper etiquette is there. I regularly leave links to my posts in the comments on other blogs, but I get very little traffic from them and almost no comments. I'm thinking about stopping that as it's probably poor form.
KT, completely unrelated. I quite unwittingly signed up for a well-known social/professional/but-mostly-social-networking site.
ReplyDeleteI believe you had membership on one of these forums, as well.
Question: What if anything did you do with your network membership to pimp your site?
I'll take your answer off the air. Thanks.
Sincerely,
No longer "Face-less" and... with 34 Friends!!!
