Systemic Leprechaun Racism

And I thought we Catholics were steeped in mysticism. Dig this bit out of Princeton, a, Ivy League bastion of the Elites.

The Department of Education is investigating whether Princeton violated the Civil Rights Act after the school's president, Christopher Eisgruber, said that racism remains "embedded" in the university. In response to the department's inquiry, Princeton claimed that the school does not actively discriminate against minority students and faculty, but also that systemic racism still exists on campus.

"Princeton has long been committed to creating and maintaining a community where all can thrive, and stands by its representations … that is complies with all laws and regulations governing equal opportunity, nondiscrimination, and harassment," the Princeton letter reads. "The university also stands by our statements about the prevalence of systemic racism and our commitment to reckon with its continued effects."

So they have systemic racism, but it doesn't manifest itself in any measurable way. How magically delicious.

This is Lucky Charms territory here.

  1. I think they gave themselves away. Let’s consider two statements:

“The university also stands by our statements about the prevalence of systemic racism and our commitment to reckon with its continued effects”. And “Princeton claimed that the school does not actively discriminate against minority [my emphasis] students and faculty, but also that systemic racism still exists on campus”.

See they have an out. They must be systemically racist against non-minority, aka, white (Asian?) kids (males?).

I also think all the non-minority kids who were denied admission should sue in a class action for civil rights violations.

  2. I think poor Lucky is a prime example of real racism. Here he is, being persecuted by those damned kids all the time because they want to wrestle him down and rob him, and everyone just laughs it off. "Oh, he's just a leprechaun, who cares about him."

And then there's poor Sonny the Cuckoo Bird, constantly mocked because of his mental illness. Or the Trix rabbit, being abused and shunned because he can't overcome his addiction. It's pretty appalling when you think about it. These guys are the real victims.
