Well it isn’t the last heat wave. At least not according to the National Weather Service. This is their official forecast for the location nearest my house for early next week: “Monday Sunny, with a high near 100.” Ick.
Very dry heat (relative humidities in the high teens). Since the forecast for Friday is a high of 72, bookended by 78’s on Thursday and Saturday, it is clearly a second heat wave. The good(?) news is that they’ve down graded the forecast for Monday to only(?) 97.
