Especially since, from the specs on wikipedia, a 5-ton tyrannosaur and a full fuel load would only leave an F-14 about 1 ton for armament. Unfortunately, the A-10 would be in about the same boat.
Now, if they were piloted by something much lighter, and were *dropping* the tyrannosaurs, that would be different.
You know, the real problem I have with this is that the F-14 is a Navy jet. I could see an ichthyosaurus flying one, but a Tyrannosaurus flying over the ocean and landing on a carrier? Never.
And, considering that dinosaurs are pretty well streamlined, something like the Jetman's strap-on wings might suit them better. Then they could swoop right in, and start chomping without even having to open a cockpit!

Nobody "drops" a tyrannosaurus. Except Chuck Norris, of course.

ReplyDeleteBut, you can't really expect Calvin to limit his imagination as you clearly have limited yours! ;)
ReplyDeleteMaybe not, but Hobbes seems to think Calvin has gone overboard on this one, too.
ReplyDelete^ Proving my point.
