Spam Attracts Spam

Like graffiti left on urban walls, leaving spam on a post draws more of it. This post has been getting a lot of spam caught in the filter lately. I hadn't noticed, but I had let some spam build up there and now it's like flypaper for the spammers.

    This seems to be largely a problem with anonymous posters. Are you considering blocking posts from anonymous ?

    Switching the format of my blog to make it so I could subscribe to comments again had the happy side-effect of suddenly removing all the spam.

    (What is UP with all the russian spam on that post, anyways?)
