You know, they could really encourage that sort of thing by making the ball easier to throw and catch. If there was less chance of fumbling the ball every time it was thrown, I bet they'd be doing lateral passes all the time.
It would be wacky to play with a large, round ball with handles on it. Something the size of a playground ball with about 16 handles.
Really, that's all we are asking for every play.
Is it too much to ask? After all, I pay, err, zero to watch these games.:-)
