It's hard to tell. The Lions played here and the place is a wreck.
Yes, I know. It's a cheap shot, but I loved the gag so much I had to share.
:-)
Flying back today. Will have full Interweb Tube access from the Catican tomorrow. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and especially those that left comments.
Obviously not Detroit. No muslims in the photo.
ReplyDeleteHowlsatmoon: I know you meant it as a joke about Detroit, but: how can you tell someone's a Muslim by looking at them in the extreme distance? I can see probably a couple of hundred people in that picture, and most of them are just specks[1]. And I'd be very, very surprised if there weren't a number of tourists from one of the nearby Muslim-majority countries.
ReplyDelete[1] For that matter, I wouldn't be too sure about the religion of the people in the foreground either, unless somebody asked them.
^^Tim, it was definitely a joke, based on a 'go see s graduation' trip to Detroit two weeks ago.
ReplyDeleteLittle suburb of Hamtramk, an old Polish enclave is now highly islamic peoples.
*they wear those 'Christian hatin' hats'.... Kufis
Muslims, as indicated by beards and headscarves weren't that common where we were. In Tuscany they were practically non-existent.
