OK. Throw down. I think what these guys are planning is stupid. But to say it's not "remotely Christian" is a stretch. Please consult Acts 19:19, and tell me that wasn't provocative. The situations are not comparable, but I'm calling you out on your exaggeration.
Well, of course it isn't really in line with Jesus's teachings - it's Paul doing it, not Jesus.
Not to be too crude about it, but Paul always struck me as being kind of a jerk. A lot of people seemed to want to kill him, and after reading Acts and Paul's letters I kind of saw their point.
Well Tim you have to keep in mind Paul was a pretty intense guy BEFORE he became a Christian; I doubt he changed too much afterward.
I won't say they aren't Christians for burning the Koran, but they are definitely going about things the wrong way. All the burning will do is anger and inflame hatred, it will not change minds.

ReplyDeleteOK I read the passage. That seems like a real stretch when weighed against the whole of Christ's teachings.

Heh.

IT. IS. NOT. REMOTELY. CHRISTIAN.
ReplyDeleteOr sensible.
There is nothing in any realm with which I am familiar that makes this make any sense.
Unless you are a Moslem agent trying to provoke a war.
Hey - you asked how it was remotely Christian.
ReplyDelete:-)
ReplyDeleteDefinetely not something JWD.
ReplyDeleteI read 'How is burning Koreans Even Remotely Christian.' I must need more coffee.
ReplyDeleteIf the Koreans are heretics, then burning them is just fine.
ReplyDelete;-)
KT Koreans do not burn well or else we would try using them instead of Ethanol.
ReplyDeleteFact.
Faulty logic. If "burns well" was important we would be using coal, petroleum, or wood.
