Who Dat Say Dey Gonna Beat Dem Saints?

As As Marques Colston's unofficial publicist, all I can say is, WHAT A GAME! Whoohoo! We're going to the Super Bowl, baby!

See you in Miami!

  1. Who dat back atcha! It's impossible not to love the Saints. They were so unspeakably lousy for so long, and now they're FINALLY good. The people of New Orleans suffered so much as a result of Hurricane Katrina. They needed a break and they finally got one.

Also, my team of choice, the Carolina Panthers, stunk up the joint, and I had to cheer for somebody, but that's another story :)

    GEAUX SAINTS!

  2. BTW, How did a guy from San Diego get to be a Saints fan in the first place, KT?

  3. I was rooting for the Vikes for no other reason than to shut the yap trap of a somewhat noisome individaul at work who is a big Saints fan.

  4. Niall, about 20 years ago, I was working on a project with a bunch of really great folks. Two times that year we went out to a local sports bar to watch Monday Night Football. Both times the Saints were playing and both times the rest of the bar was rooting for the other team. Naturally, we became rowdy Saints fans for just that night.

For Christmas that year, a good friend bought Saints sweatshirts for both of us. The next year, I bought Saints ballcaps for both of us. I then took up Cajun and Southern cooking. Because of the avaiability of sites like nola.com on the Internet, I was able to start following the team in earnest. I've been a Saints fan ever since.

  5. Dean, that's worth a post by our loyal beadle.

  6. Being a Viking fan, I'm used to disappointment. And being a Viking fan, and not a Packer fan, I don't complain about bad calls. Because I know the bad calls go both ways and my eyes are jaded.

Congrats to da Saints for not making mistakes and lasting out the game. Anyone of the Vikes turnovers ends the game the other way.

And I'm a bit mad at the cheap shots against our geriatric QB. Don't your guys respect they're elders? :-)

  7. If you had just had him wear a dress out there, we would have known not to hit him so hard.

  9. KT, so you're a member of the "who dat nation" by adoption, eh?

You sound a bit like my Dad. He was never much into sports, but when he did stop to watch a game of some sort, he'd always say, "I'm rooting for the underdog." I figure the Saints are about as underdog as you can get!
