The Multiculturalists Jump the Shark

Dig this.
In November 2008 a Dutch journalist, Joanie de Rijke, was abducted by Taliban fighters in Afghanistan. She was held captive, raped repeatedly, and released after six days for a ransom of 100,000 euros ($137,000). After her ordeal, she acknowledged that her captors “did horrible things to me,” but added in several media interviews “They also respected me,” and emphasized “They are not monsters.”
The Dutch politician who spoke out against her treatment and her response to her captors' behavior has been roundly criticized.

OK, that's it then. That's a wrap on the multiculturalists' world, wouldn't you say? Even when they're kidnapped and raped, they can't bring themselves to pass judgment on the pond scum* that did so.

* - I apologize to pond scum for this comparison.

The European socialist Left is not having a good evening. All across Europe the right-wing parties — demonized for years as “racist”, “xenophobic”, etc. — are winning big. In the UK, UKIP has shown very strong gains.

Nick Griffin, the leader of the BNP — which also did well — was kept out of Manchester town hall for the counting by a crowd of violent “anti-fascists”.

Other parties that made gains were the PVV in the Netherlands, the Danish People’s Party, the FPÖ in Austria, and the opposition Popular Party in Spain.

Apparently, the backlash is finally showing up-- or a spine, take your pick.

When you think about it, her reaction is entirely predictable.

After she was captured, I'm sure she was probably thinking matter-of-factly: "O.K., here's the part where I get raped... because that's what these people do.

She is merely recognizing the cultural differences in her own unique non-judgemental way.

And here's where I refrain from any Bobby Knight quotes.

  4. Although, this does bring a couple of quotes to mind. Something about "bless those who curse you", and "turn the other cheek". Can't quite recall who said it, though. Oh well. Just some guy, I expect.

  5. There's a difference between turning the other cheek and denying that any harm was done.

Jesus never said "lie and say that none sin against you, lest someone think you intolerant."

How's that a lie? It sounds like the only reason we even know that the kidnappers were evil, was because she told everybody what they did. There weren't any other witnesses after all, she didn't *have* to tell anybody they were rapists if she wanted to paint them as "not-monsters". Where's the lie?

I personally would not have forgiven them if I were in her shoes, but she has evidently decided to do so. And forgiving your enemies is supposed to be the Christian thing to do. So where's the problem?

    “They are not monsters.”

Sorry, no, you kidnap and rape women, unrepentantly, for being a different religion-- you're pretty monsterous, and you don't "respect" them.

For speaking out against kidnapping and rape.

Nothing here Jesus could possibly object to!
