Well, there is an interesting pattern here, but maybe not the one you are implying. Looking back a bit further in time to start the graph at 2004, I see that *every* year there is an initial raise in number of searches on "Mussolini", mostly peaking in May, and then dropping rather abruptly for the summer. Searches this year are actually down a bit from the past.
I suspect that what we are really tracking, is how many high-school and college history courses are working through "Dictators of the 20th Century" at the time.
