Some college kids up here in Washington set up a system of these, with modified MP3 players and a pre-selected collection of stuff to download, for old folks' homes.
The Library of Congress apparently has a lot of old radio audio available, so they leaned heavy on that-- it gets updated with requests as needed.
They also translated a lot of the words into normal-ese-- instead of "download" it was something like "check out."

I think it's interesting that from the commercial there is no hint of the Windows interface there.
