Unfortunately, though, Slinky doesn't seem to have kept up with the times - stair treads have gotten wider since the Slinky was invented, and now it's hard to find stairs narrow enough for a Slinky to work properly. Institutional stairs are particularly bad. Which is a shame, because I'm sure we'd *all* like to see a Slinky going down an "up" escalator.
We need to persuade the manufacturers of the Slinky to increase the lenght and diameter about 30%. That ought to do it.
Until then, I guess we'll just have to make do with cats.
