...the subject, of course, is our Maximum Leader.
The camera is incredibly fast and the flash was quite nice. No red eye, but instead we picked up a little bit of odd color in one of her eyes.
Beautiful. Just beautiful. The camera's not too bad, either.
Happy Fourth KT!
ReplyDeleteI've noticed the people with those Nikons get some incredibly clear, detailed shots, definitely a cut above.
Now you'll be into acquiring lenses, eh?
Hi, Rose! I bought mine at Costco and it came with a 55-200 telephoto lens as well as the standard 18-55. It was a great deal, too. I think it will be quite some time before I explore all the possibilities.

Great pic for a starter!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new camera...
My Canon Rebel is getting a bit long in the tooth...I'll have to look at Nikon as an option if I get a new camera someday.
Those little flashes on the camera work for most stuff, but they're not ideal. When I do the dogs I use flash, but I've got one of those big ones you put on top and I bounce the light off the ceiling. Kinda softens the flash and it comes out looking really natural.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new camera. I just got the D40 with the 18-55 lens. I'd been waiting for the price to come down and it has. I'm just amazed at how good the exposure is. Even the flash photos look fantastic! Nothing in the foreground is washed out. I'm thinking about adding the 55-200 lens and then we'll be set!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new toy!
I enjoyed it so much that I bounced it off the pavement last night when the strap broke. Thank God for Costco's replacement policy.
