A Lenten Theological Question

I was making dinner tonight for myself, the kids and whole bunch of their friends. It being a Friday in Lent, we were having fish sticks, fried potatoes and a salad. I cut myself while making dinner. Since some of my blood went into the potatoes, was the dinner still meatless?

  1. In all seriousness....no, I don't think so, the rule is no "carne"-- flesh of land animals, basically.

    Blood isn't flesh.

    On a side note: Eeeew....

  2. Uh... I'd say not, tho the whole no meat on Fridays thing seems silly to this little Methodist boy.

  3. Now that's really splitting hairs. Oh wait... if the split hairs were to fall into the dish you were preparing...

  4. Thanks for all the funny replies. Just FYI, this post was a joke. I mean I did cut myelf and ensanguinate the potatoes, but I wasn't worried about it.

I just wanted to make that clear before anyone thought I was a total nut. Or rather, more of a total nut.

    :-)
