Turning On The Air Conditioner When It's Below Freezing Outside

I'm in Rhode Island today. I arrived today. Well, to be perfectly accurate, I arrived at 11:50 PM last night. By the time I got to my hotel room, it was 1:30 AM.

I was supposed to arrive at 5:30 PM, but that's a whole different story.

It's 30 degrees outside. No worries, the room has a heater. A quick glance before I collapsed into bed showed it to be set at 72. Whew!

I kept thinking the room was really, really cold and woke a couple of times, shivering. When I got up this morning, I discovered that it was set to cool, not heat. The vigilant device was working all night to make sure my room never got above 72. With great success, I might add.

Sigh. It's starting out as one of those trips. Oh well. As I told one of our sons who had his first business trip recently, you never tell stories about the ones that go perfectly right.

So another day into the trip... is it one of *those* trips?

It's been worthwhile in many ways. Definitely worth the pain. The worst part has been the lack of sleep, but then I haven't had a decent string of sleep since mid-December.

Oh well.

Ugh, you too on the sleep?

At least I haven't been nabbed by a heater set to cool....
