Simply Writing This Is An Act Of Cultural Imperialism

... and by "this" I mean this: "Glaciers, gender, and science, A feminist glaciology framework for global environmental change research." Dig this part of this from that.
Feminist glaciology is rooted in, and combines, both feminist science studies and postcolonial science studies to meaningfully shift present-day glacier and ice sciences. While feminist science studies focuses explicitly on gender and the place (or absence) of women in science, it can neglect specific analyses of the social relations of colonialism and imperialism, emphasizing instead Western women without sustained attention to indigenous, non-Western, and local knowledge systems that are the centerpiece of postcolonial science studies
Since pre-colonial civilizations were, for the most part, illiterate, isn't the fact that this article is in writing an act of colonial, imperialist, patriarchal hegemony?

Here, the academic review panel for Progress in Human Geography ponders whether or not to publish this submission.

Sometimes, you can't help but think, if the Vandals don't get here soon, there won't be anything for them to sack.

LOL! It's just a guess, but I'd say that's a shoo-in for Comment of the Week.

I was trying to think of someway to parody that, but several tries resulted in things that seemed less like parody than the original.

Oh, and I read it out loud to Dr Mrs Ohioan and her feminist scientific based response was, "sounds like complete gobbledygook". I love that woman...

The Onion is going to have either to shut down or to become a "reputable" news "source".
