Diversity

At work, we're having another diversity month. I don't know what it's for, maybe it's One-legged, Lesbian Eskimo Shinto Month or something. Whatever it is, isn't it implicitly racist? We're told over and over how important diversity is to being productive. Why? The implication is that Eskimo lesbians possess some characteristic because they are Eskimo lesbians and we need that characteristic in our workforce.

Isn't the assertion that a particular race is all the same in some way the very definition of racism?

Every time I hear about diversity being strength I think "Orwellian Propaganda."

I think you meant wise Eskimo lesbians.

I always thought of diversity as the implication that particular races/cultures were superior to others.
